Congratulations to all of this year’s All-Region Choir members. We had 34 singers who were ultimately selected to participate in this elite organization. We are looking forward to an outstanding learning opportunity and a remarkable performance.

            The All-Region Choir experience is just a one day event this year. The All-Region clinic and concert will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5^th, at the Manvel High School. We will meet at LJI at 6:15 am and leave at 6:30 am. The concert will begin at 5:00 pm.

            The students will need to wear their choir shirt and blue jeans for rehearsals. They will need to bring their dress black uniforms in their garment bags for the performance. They will have a chance to change before the concert.

            Students must know all of their notes before they show up at the clinic. The packet I have sent home with them includes all of the music they still need to learn for the concert. They will need to use their CD’s to learn these new songs. We will have some reviews during class the week before the clinic, but most of the responsibility for learning the new songs will fall to the region choir participants.

            It promises to be a great day of great music performed at a very high level. I am looking forward to our kids having an opportunity to learn from a great conductor and perform with all the best young musicians from our area.

            The concert, once again, is at 5:00 pm. I sincerely hope that all parents will be able to attend. We will have a bus to transport us to the event. Please let me know as soon as possible if you will not be able to attend the concert so I can arrange to have the bus bring those students back home.
